Brian has led numerous investment banking transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), recapitalizations, private equity capital raises and financing for companies spanning the consumer, industrials, healthcare, software and business services sectors.

Brian has a passion for working with private business owners to skillfully guide them through life-changing and complex M&A transactions. Brian understands the emotional struggle business owners encounter when facing the prospect of selling a business they’ve built over many years. Brian combines critical analysis and strategic positioning with a tailored and creative approach to ensure that M&A transactions are executed in a manner that exceeds his client’s high expectations.

Prior to founding Cadence, Brian worked for more than 15 years advising middle market clients on mergers and acquisitions transactions at both Wells Fargo Advisors and Wells Fargo Securities. Prior to Wells Fargo, Brian spent 8 years within the mergers and acquisitions group at A.G. Edwards, also advising middle market clients on the sale and recapitalizations of their companies. Brian began his professional career as an auditor with EY and he is a CPA (inactive).

Brian holds a B.S. in Accounting from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University and an MBA from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. Brian lives in St. Louis with his wife and two children, is an avid tennis player and a life-long St. Louis Cardinals fan.
